With an effective use of the materials we are able to reach cost savings when valuable raw material such as stainless steel and ferrochrome are retuned to factory's production. The effective use of materials is ecological.
We reuse the by-products of steel industry. Rock materials that are upgraded by Tapojärvi are valuable material in road building and other infrastructual building. Our processes save natural resources because there forms no waste and the need for manufacturing rock material of virgin raw materials reduces significantly.
We have also developed a recycling unit for refractory products. We recycle the worn out bricks by manufacturing refractory mass and cross for the steel industry to reuse.
Without Tapojärvi's handling several hundred thousand tons of useful material would end up as disposable waste at the dump every year.
